This wedding started with bridal prep at the beautiful Park View Hotel, a historic gem in Uptown New Orleans. The hotel is nestled right by Audubon Park, giving it the perfect mix of charm and natural beauty. I captured a few pre-ceremony shots, focusing on the dress, rings, and florals. Once the bride was ready, we stepped outside to the park for some bridal party portraits. The backdrop of Audubon Park was stunning, with the natural light working perfectly for photography.
From there, we headed down to Sacred Heart Academy Chapel for the ceremony. The groom was getting ready in the cafeteria, and my second photographer snapped some great shots of him with his groomsmen. The ceremony began with the sun still pouring through the chapel windows, filling the room with soft, natural light—a dream for any New Orleans wedding photographer. The chapel itself, with its simple elegance, made for a beautiful setting.
After the ceremony, I captured family portraits inside the chapel and took the couple outside for more intimate shots before heading to the reception venue, the Audubon Clubhouse. The lush golf course provided a perfect backdrop for outdoor portraits. The reception was an absolute blast, full of smiles, laughter, and nonstop dancing. Halfway through the evening, the bride revealed it was also her birthday by putting on a sash.
As a wedding photographer in New Orleans, days like these are what I live for. The blend of unique venues, great people, and a city that offers endless photo opportunities is why I love New Orleans wedding photography.
