This intimate New Orleans wedding at the historic Hotel Peter and Paul beautifully blended history, elegance, and celebration, making it a day to remember. Located in a former church and school, this unique New Orleans wedding venue is perfect for weddings and receptions alike, offering an unforgettable setting that makes any New Orleans wedding photographer’s heart sing. Our day started without the usual prep photos, as the bride’s sister, also a photographer, captured those moments. So, I dove right into photographing some stunning bridal portraits in the elegant hotel room at Peter and Paul, followed by an emotional first look with her father.
The ceremony was a truly intimate affair with just 20 close friends and family members. A friend officiated, bringing an extra layer of warmth and personal touch that made every word feel meaningful. As a wedding photographer in New Orleans, I’ve learned to adapt to the atmosphere of each space, and here I added some off-camera lighting to highlight the ceremony details, which can sometimes be challenging in a darker venue. I was thrilled with the results, as the lighting brought out the rich architecture and intimacy of the room, creating beautiful New Orleans wedding photography that captured every special moment.
Following the ceremony, I whisked the couple away for portraits while the rest of the guests gathered for the reception. The reception was pure energy – laughter, dancing, and that classic New Orleans spirit filled the room, making it a dream for a New Orleans wedding photographer. Hotel Peter and Paul truly set the stage for a night everyone will remember, and the joy and warmth captured in these New Orleans wedding photos tell a story that’s authentically theirs.
