New Orleans Music Box Village

This wedding at The Music Box Village was a photographer's dream. Located in the heart of New Orleans' Upper 9th Ward, the village is filled with interactive musical houses, offering an artistic and unique backdrop for wedding photography. As a New Orleans wedding photographer, I was thrilled to work in such a creative environment, with so many nooks, crannies, and quirky pieces that made every portrait session an adventure. The challenge here wasn’t finding a good spot—it was deciding which one to use first!

The day began in a small trailer next to the Music Box Village, where I captured a few portraits of the bride after she finished getting ready. The contrast between the stunning bride and the rustic trailer added a beautiful juxtaposition that created dynamic and memorable images. As a New Orleans photographer, I always appreciate the opportunity to play with unique compositions that reflect both the beauty of the moment and the local charm.

The ceremony was intimate and filled with personal touches, with two friends officiating, making it even more special. Right after the ceremony, I quickly grabbed some portraits of the couple around the village’s artistic structures before they headed into dinner and speeches. Afterward, we moved into the first dances and the reception fun, all within the whimsical setting of the Music Box Village.

For couples looking for something truly different and filled with New Orleans spirit, this wedding venue is a gem. It’s always a thrill to photograph weddings at venues like this, where art, culture, and love intertwine seamlessly, creating a magical experience for everyone.
